-8- [Accidental Video]
Oct. 25th, 2010 03:57 pm-n't find his own bum if the lights weren't turned on. You can do better.
[Rose's elbow bumps her journal while she's putting away her makeup and has her cell phone tucked under one ear. She pauses in what she's doing and sighs deeply for patience.]
Mum--Mum. Look, he doesn't know what he's talkin' about, all right? I'm sure they'll love it.
[Only the slightest chatter of a voice can be heard on the other end.]
Actually, I'm taking a break from all that, sort of. [She leans forward to put something away in a box that's obviously behind the journal. A voice breaks through just clearly enough that one can hear "-out the Doctor? Did you make i-" before she returns to her normal recumbent pose.] No, that's over and done with. He's fine. [She swallows.] Driving me a bit mad, actually. You know he doesn't like staying in one place for very long. Yeah, he's fine. ...Just seems like he's four different people right now.
[She smiles slowly as the other end talks on for a bit.]
It's really interesting here; that's all I can really say on the first go. Kind of scary at times. Frustrating. But worth the trip. [Snickers at a question asked.] Pirates and Ghostbusters. No, I'm not lying.
[She leans forward to put something else away, and again a voice cuts in saying "-ot fooling anyone, Rosie. You're at a convention, I know it! And how's he paying for all that? Did you-" and she settles back again.]
It's not a convention. No, I can't come back yet. And really, I've got to go now. Yes, I promise. Home for Christmas. Cross my heart. ...I love you too, Mum. Goodbye.
[She presses a button on her cell phone and lays it atop her desk, eyes sparkling a little with pressing emotion. She sighs and shakes it off, then reaches to pull her journal closer to her. She goes to open a new entry, and notices a little light on. She makes a face.]
Oh bollocks-!
[She switches it off.]
